
The annual North Carolina State Health Director’s Conference convened on January 28-29, 2010, at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley, in Raleigh, N.C. This year's conference featured:
- Lessons learned from H1N1
- Prevention action plans
- Eliminating health disparities
- Healthcare reform
- New healthcare legislation
The 2010 North Carolina State Health Director's Conference provided a unique opportunity for local and state public health leaders to convene around public health issues of strategic interest. As in previous years, the 2010 conference was designed to support capacity development and skill building as well as stimulate thought and discussion. On Friday, two people were honored with Ronald H. Levine Legacy Awards for their significant contributions to public health in the state.
